Our son, Johandre Blom, who is seven years old, was attacked by a crocodile during a tragic and traumatic incident on 21 March 2025. He lost his left arm in the attack. It was a time of intense shock, fear and uncertainty for our family.

Johandre was admitted to hospital and underwent several operations. Thanks to the dedication of the excellent surgeons and medical team by his side, as well as a long and demanding recovery journey, he was eventually able to return home. However, the emotional and financial impact of this event was enormous.
